Most of the SEOs are of the opinion “NO, SEO will continue till search engines continue to rank sites. Though the techniques used may change.”

I would say that SEO might be dead. As the search engines especially Google are changing the way they rank sites, SEO will not be needed anymore. Since its inception, algorithm of Google to rank sites has changed a lot. Earlier it used to rank sites based on the keywords in ‘keyword’ Meta tag. Later it made the use of this tag obsolete.

How to check backlinks of a website?

After a long wedding vacation, I finally got settled in Mumbai with my hubby. Now I am trying to catch up with the SEO things. Checking backlinks of a website is a very common thing for an online marketer, but the problem arises when we are presented with different results using different techniques.

Missing links in Google’s link search

Google’s link command no longer shows all the sites linking to your site. It only shows a sample of the links pointing to your site. So these results are in no way indicative of the link algorithm used by Google to determine a page’s Page Rank.

Hello Everyone!

Really sorry for not updating you since long. In the beginning of this month I got engaged with the boy of my dreams.  After a long struggle, finally I got him. We are getting married on 19th April, 2009. So, very less time left and I am very much busy with all the preparations. I am enjoying my ‘Kohinoor Moments’ a lot. Soon, I will shift to Mumbai and will catch up with you from there. Till then, wishing you happy times and hoping to get your love again.

Understanding Twitter Basics

I am much appreciated to know that my last post about twitter prompted many people to join it. So, here is another post to help you understand Twitter better.

Everyone Tab:

Although all the features of it are self explanatory, still there is one tab named ‘Everyone’, in the right sidebar, which itself doesn’t indicate for what it stands for.

The whole point of the Everyone tab is to display an unfiltered, unbiased, fresh 20-tweet “snapshot” of all (public) tweets from the entire world - to and from people you don’t know - and even in alphabets (and languages) you can’t read.
